The Gran Hotel Sóller. One of the few five-star hotels in the Sóller Valley and the only one of this category in the center, is a hotel that inevitably stands out and attracts attention with its architecture. It's hard to pass by without being halted by its majesty, which invites you to contemplate its beauty and history. However, beyond its spectacular design, the Gran Hotel Sóller is a unique place to stay in the heart of Sóller. A luxury hotel that aims to offer an idyllic and unforgettable experience in an environment surrounded by peace, tranquility, exclusivity, privacy, comfort, gastronomy, and excellent service for unforgettable days in this corner of the Tramuntana. But how do they offer this wonderful experience? It is possible thanks to the dedication and professionalism of the various teams working in the hotel. Teams that, from their respective functions, ensure that the Gran Hotel Sóller is the hotel it is today. So today, let's discover how the experience at the Gran Hotel Sóller is created! Welcome!

A Look Inside the Reception Support Team

The reception team at the Gran Hotel Sóller handles countless tasks. From daily check-ins and check-outs to administrative tasks, restaurant reservations, and offering personalized assistance to each of our guests. This is why our reception team has a support team composed of professionals like Cinthya.

Cinthya, as a reception assistant, starts her day at 10:00 AM working with the reception team to review the day's check-ins and check-outs. They ensure that check-outs are completed correctly and prepare for the day by receiving feedback from the previous team to know all necessary details and specific room service requirements. After reviewing the day's tasks, the reception team contacts the cleaning team, known as the housekeeping team, to schedule the check-ins. Their role is to know the day's check-outs and check-ins and room availability, as well as notify the housekeeping team if a room with a tight turnaround is vacated so it can be made impeccable for the next guests.

Once this task is completed, Cinthya manages reservations with the reception team. This task involves handling direct bookings through our website, managing vouchers, restaurant reservations, and responding to customer emails. They first handle check-outs, then check-ins, and finally special requests. After completing these tasks, the reception team continues to serve the Gran Hotel Sóller guests with tasks like restaurant recommendations, activities, transport schedules, and much more. Finally, at around 6:00 PM, Cinthya ends her workday.

The reception team at the Gran Hotel Sóller works closely with Cristina, our director, providing a very special human touch to the guests' stay. A unique and personalized service for each of our guests, offering direct assistance 24 hours a day!

The Housekeeping Team

One of our most important teams is the housekeeping team, which includes colleagues like Esperanza. Their day starts at 8:00 AM when the team begins cleaning common areas such as the reception, breakfast dining room, SPA, and bar. This task ensures our spaces are spotless for when our guests come down for breakfast. Once the common areas are cleaned, the housekeeping team takes a short break at around 9:50 AM, then starts cleaning all the vacant rooms in the hotel. The team, consisting of eight colleagues, splits into groups of two or three people. These groups rotate weekly and are responsible for cleaning the rooms, one group per floor. This task is carried out until 1:00 PM, when they take a lunch break.

After lunch, they finish any remaining rooms and then clean the hotel's common areas again until 5:00 PM, when they prepare for the next day's work with the reception team before ending their workday.

Inside the Kitchen Cleaning Area of Ca’n Blau Restaurant

One of the most important teams in our kitchens is the cleaning team, which includes Julius Ilomba, one of the most beloved members of the team. Julius starts his day at 9:00 AM, thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and checking the dishes for the breakfast service before taking out the trash. Once everything is ready, he helps set up the breakfast buffet until it ends. He then cleans all the morning service machines, changes the bottles, and prepares for the midday service. He performs this task similarly for the evening service on days when his shift is in the afternoon/evening before ending his workday. Julius is a unique professional who, in addition to his work, brings a special human touch, making the team like a family where everyone helps each other.
